Hello! I’m Sunisha. I am a Certified Child Life Specialist with more than 20 years of experience supporting children and families through their most difficult and vulnerable moments. I hold a master’s degree in Child Development and Family Relations, and have spent my career helping children feel seen, heard, understood, and safe.
In addition to my work in healthcare and family support, I am an experienced forensic interviewer and I specialize in trauma-informed communication and support, and child-centered best practices. My background and combined experience gives me a unique perspective on how children think, feel, and express themselves during moments of fear, stress, or uncertainty.
Alongside my professional experience, I’m also a mom-and that shapes everything I do. I understand the quiet fears, the late night worries, and the hope we hold onto when our children face something hard. I know what it feels like to want to show up well, even when the moment is overwhelming or uncertain.
Being a parent has given me a deeper compassion for the families I support and a firsthand understanding of how confusing and emotional difficult moments can be. It’s one of the reasons I care so deeply about creating clear, practical resources that help you feel steady confident, and supported as you care for your child.
I am dedicated to equipping parents, professionals, volunteers, and helpers of all kinds with the knowledge and confidence to respond to, and support children with compassion, clarity, and care.
My work reflects a deep belief: In a child’s most difficult moments, how we respond matters deeply and can transform their path toward healing.
