Vision

Expert Guidance And Support

Sunshine Through The Rain was born from my firsthand realization that both professionals and caregivers deeply want to support children-but often feel unsure of the right words to say or how to navigate life’s hardest conversations.  I have seen the gap between good intentions and practical, trauma-informed guidance for connecting with children during moments of fear, grief, disclosures, uncertainty, or change.

This space was created to bridge that gap, with the goal of creating a world where every child is met with safety, understanding, and healing through informed and empowered adults. This is accomplished through trauma-informed resources that help adults go from feeling frozen and unsure to confidently taking action with compassion and care.

Sunshine Through the Rain

As I begin this journey with Sunshine Through The Rain, I am offering thoughtfully designed PDF guides that can be used immediately in real-life moments, with plans to expand into in-depth courses, professional trainings, and eventually coaching for those seeking deeper support. Alongside these resources, my blog, Sunshine Notes, is a place to pause and reflect on the light found in everyday moments-focusing on mindset, gratitude, and gentle reminders that even in the hardest seasons, moments of hope and meaning can still shine through.

My vision is to become a trusted global resource for trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate parenting and professional education-creating ripple effects of safety, resilience, connection, healing, and hope for generations to come.

VALUES & BELIEFS

At Sunshine Through The Rain, everything I create is guided by a deep commitment to children, families, and the adults who support them. I believe meaningful connection and change happens when compassion is paired with clarity and education is rooted in real-life understanding.

Trauma-Informed Care

I believe every child deserves responses that are guided in safety, science, and sensitivity. Trauma-Informed care is not a trend-it is a responsibility. My resources honor the emotional, developmental, and neurological needs of children.

Empowerment Through Education

I believe knowledge reduces fear. When adults are equipped with the right tools and understanding, they can act with confidence rather than overwhelm. Education should be practical, accessible, and immediately usable in real-life moments.

Protection Comes First

I believe in proactive protection, clear boundaries, and strong advocacy for children’s safety. Every child has the right to be believed, supported, and protected.

Compassion Without Judgment

I believe parents and professionals do the best they can with what they know. My work is grounded in compassion-not guilt, shame, or blame-because growth happens in safe learning spaces.

Healing is a Process

Sunshine Through The Rain

I believe healing isn’t linear and doesn’t look the same for every family. Small steps matter. Progress matters. Hope matters.

Ethical, Evidence-Based Practice

Sunshine Through The Rain

I believe education should be grounded in research, best practices, and professional integrity-never fear-based marketing or quick-fix promises.

I believe families and professionals should not have to walk hard moments alone. Support systems, shared knowledge, and community create stronger outcomes for children.
